WORKSHOP 30 YEARS – OPEN CALL

Divadlo Continuo is organising a three-day workshop in cooperation with DAMU at the premises of the Theater Faculty of AMU in Prague from 19 to 21 September 2022. The workshop is part of the 30 Years of Continuo Theater Festival, which will take place from 19 to 24 September at several Prague theater venues.

 INFORMATION ABOUT PROJECTS

During the workshop, participants will learn about the company’s way of working. Physical training, working with materials (e.g. paper and clay), animation of objects and materials will be the impetus to begin research around the body and its expressive possibilities.
Participants will experience the physical training that is at the heart of Continuo’s movement research. The aim of the training is to enhance the body’s sensitivity, proprioception and perception of the environment and to achieve a sensitive and highly expressive physicality. The physical training is enriched by working with different materials, allowing the performer to expand his sensitivity and receptivity, to find new and unexpected qualities of movement and to “shake up” his inner world, thanks to the unpredictable offers of the material.

The aim of the workshop is to stimulate an authentic and enriching relationship between body, movement, material and space and to bring to light the multifaceted possibilities of combination and interaction of these stage elements.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The workshop is designed for actors, performers, dancers, visual artists and musicians, with or without previous theater experience. Interest, energy and perseverance, a willingness to work and share artistic visions in a group, a desire to explore new creative possibilities, to experiment, to offer, to try and to learn are essential.
