Cirkus Vitae

CIRKUS VITAE is not a circus. CIRKUS VITAE is the circus of life.

We have dreams. We want to fly. We look for love so we can love and be loved. We want to find meaning in things. But we’re also mortal and heavy. We are torn by our passions and incapable of love. So all that remains is desire, searching, and dreams. Circus Vitae is a place where our dreams come true.

A performance about the lives of the members of a traveling circus company.

A parable about man’s encounter and clash with life and death.

Stories full of metaphors, double meanings, as well as sincere human emotions and passions.

Cirkus Vitae combines circus arena techniques with puppetry in a unique poetic style.

Created in 1998, this street performance has since won numerous awards and been presented at festivals in the Czech Republic and abroad.
