Rooms

An international site-specific theatre project held from July 27 to August 1, 2021.

The annual international site-specific theater project has been organized by Divadlo Continuo since 1997.

This year marks its 25th anniversary.

Divadlo Continuo has decided to celebrate this small milestone at its headquarters, Plum Yard, where six public performances of the project entitled ROOMS will take place.

Divadlo Continuo presents a theatrical metaphor that turns everything upside down and through which the creators attempt to reflect on the current situation. It brings intimate confessions, stories, and situations normally hidden behind the walls of our private spaces to the outdoors and public solitude under the open sky.

As is typical for Continuo’s specific theatrical style, the ROOMS project combines the language of expressive physical theater with unmistakable visual poetry and live musical composition.

The ensemble invited ten young artists, art school students, and emerging professionals from across Europe to participate in the project and join them in inhabiting the „rooms“ that will be created in the outdoor space of Švestkový Dvůr. Audiences will be able to visit the interconnected small and larger theater stages in any order and spend as much time in them as they wish.
