Evening site-specific walks through the corners of the park, theatrical and immersive performances in the Fér Café, lectures by experts in a performative and theatrical guise, concerts under the night sky, a banquet where, in addition to food and drink, stories and live music was also served, music, art and literary workshops and many other activities was experienced by the spectators of this site-specific laboratory of Continuo Theatre.
The group of participants, which regularly consists of young artists, students and graduates of art schools and invited professionals from all over the world, was expanded this year by local residents and seniors – members of the Drama Club 60+ acting course of the A3D EDU Centre at the South Bohemian Theatre.
Site-specific LAB is a new format for Continuo Theatre’s traditional summer projects. Its intention is to search for new possibilities of theatre in non-traditional spaces, as well as new possibilities of audience involvement in the process of theatre production, both in its preparation and realization. This format will alternate at two-year intervals with the now traditional form of Continuo Theatre’s international site-specific theatre projects, which have been held annually since 1997.
